Biggest Little Beer Festival - Reno, NV 2025

Rating 6/10

This showed up and it looked like it could be an interesting show and fun way to spend an afternoon. Went for the VIP tickets and maybe that is why there was some disapointment of this production. The VIP section was a slightly raised platform to the left side of the stage and really anyone could go there. Food was limited with only one vendor. There were a few breweries pouring 4oz tasters (unlimited for VIP tickets). Got tired of a small swig so ended up buying a couple full size beers from another vendor.

Music was good and the show had it’s moments. VIP experience left a lot to be desired. Would go again depending on the lineup.

Aftershock Festival - Sacramento, CA 2025

Rating 9/10

This is the second time I’ve been to Aftershock and it is a very well run festival. Lots of open space at Discovery Park and the stages are laid out nicely. Went just for 1 day to try and catch Alkaline Trio. With the 2.5hr drive from Reno turning into a 4 hour drive because of an accident, we missed their set. Did get to catch Blink 182 and a few others I haven’t seen live in many, many years.

If you are going to multiple days, definitely try to find a place to stay near the park for an easy walk in and out. Parking can be tricky and gets very full quickly all around the area.
